The Achievement Strength Checker splits a single achievement into a STAR structure — Situation, Action, Result — and shows which parts are missing or vague, plus the metrics, skills, and domain it can detect. It runs instantly in your browser.
What it does
Paste one achievement, project result, or contribution. The checker separates your text into situation, action, and result with a deterministic rules engine, extracts any numbers, tools, and domain it recognises, and reports which fields are present. Use it to sharpen a bullet before it goes on your resume, or to prepare a STAR story for an interview.
How to use it
- Open the Achievement Strength Checker.
- Paste one achievement, or upload a
.txt,.docx, or.pdffile. - Click Analyze strength.
- Review the completeness score, the STAR breakdown, and the detected details.
What the report shows
- Completeness — how many of the structured fields your text fills.
- STAR breakdown — whether a situation, action, and result are present, and what each contains.
- Metrics — numbers, percentages, or currency the checker detected.
- Skills — tools, methods, or technologies mentioned in the description.
- Domain — the professional area the achievement belongs to.
- Missing fields — the elements to add to make the achievement stronger.
A stronger bullet
Weak: "I helped improve the deployment process."
Strong: "Led migration of 200 services to Kubernetes, cutting deploy time from 2 hours to 15 minutes and infrastructure costs by 35%."
The second version names a situation (a migration), a personal action (led), and a measurable result (time and cost). If you do not have a number, use scope, time saved, or a before/after instead — never invent one.
Privacy
All analysis runs locally in your browser. Your text is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored. When you close the tab, the data is gone.
Limitations
The checker is a rules engine with a fixed skill dictionary. It recognises common patterns and standard skill names, but it cannot understand meaning beyond those rules, and it makes no judgement about whether an achievement is impressive. It never invents facts — anything it cannot find is left for you to fill in.
