The Business Card Builder creates a print-ready 85×55mm card. It reuses the same section sidebar, autosave, and live-preview pattern as the CV Builder, but the card is its own document — editing it never changes your CV.
Create a card from your CV
Open Business Cards in the dashboard and click New business card. The creation panel opens on the right side of the page.
- Give the card a name.
- Choose one of your Active CVs.
- Pick a template.
- Click Create from CV.
The card copies your name, role, company, contact details, links, and photo. You can edit everything afterwards.
If the quick option is unavailable
- No CV yet — the panel asks you to create a CV first.
- No active CV — the panel explains that none of your CVs is set to Active and links to the CV Builder so you can activate one.
You can still choose Start blank and fill in the card manually in either case.
Find and organize cards
The landing page has the same controls as the CV Builder and Cover Letters lists:
- Search by card title.
- Status filter — All, Draft, Active, or Archived.
- Sort by recently updated, date created, title, completion, or status.
- Direction — ascending or descending.
- Grid or list view.
- Result counts update as you filter.
New cards start as Draft. Change the status from the card or the editor header. Active marks a card as ready to use; Archived keeps old cards out of the way. Multiple cards can be active at once.
Edit the card
The editor has the same layout as the CV Builder:
- Identity — name, role, company, and optional photo and logo uploads. The CV photo is imported automatically; a logo is uploaded manually.
- Contact — email, phone, website, and location.
- Tagline — a short headline and an optional supporting line.
- Links — up to three links such as LinkedIn or your portfolio. Each link shows one text line (its label when present, otherwise the URL) and can show a monochrome platform logo, auto-detected from the URL or chosen manually.
- Review & Export — choose the template, accent color, font style, and the visibility, size, and placement of your photo and logo; refresh from the CV; then download the card.
Changes autosave. The header shows Saving… / Saved / Save failed and your completion count. Photo and logo are presentation options and do not count against completion.
Refresh from your CV
Refresh from CV re-imports name, role, company, contact details, links, and photo. It only updates fields you have not manually changed; your custom text and edits are preserved.
Templates
| Template | Plan |
|---|---|
| Essential | Free |
| Monogram | Free |
| Sidebar | Free |
| Editorial | Pro |
| Bold | Pro |
| Grid | Pro |
| Noir | Pro |
| Aurora | Pro |
Every template works with or without a photo or logo. Use the media controls to resize each image and choose from positions that are safe for the current template; when the photo and logo share a position they sit side by side. The font style can follow the template or be overridden with Sans, Serif, or Mono. The Free plan includes one business card; Pro is unlimited.
Export
- PDF — one 85 × 55 mm card, ready for print.
- PNG — 300 DPI for digital sharing.
Business-card exports are authenticated but are not counted against the CV PDF export quota. The PDF and PNG use the same self-hosted fonts as the live preview, so the exported card matches what you see on screen.
