This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) that Talent & Story uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, store small amounts of data in your browser without sending them on every request. We use both to keep you signed in, secure your account, remember your preferences, and, where you consent, measure how the Service is used.
Your choices
On your first visit to a public page, we show a consent wall with Accept all, Reject all, and Manage preferences. Accept and Reject are presented with equal prominence. You can choose analytics independently; strictly necessary cookies are always on because the Service cannot work without them.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the footer Manage preferences control or the cookie settings on this page. If you reject optional cookies, the Service still works, but analytics will not run. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.
Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in and session, security, consent choice, language routing, and editor/workspace state | Session or up to 1 year |
| Preferences | Theme and interface choices stored on your device | Up to 1 year |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you consent, to measure aggregate usage | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising | Not currently used. If we introduce advertising, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. | — |
Analytics and payments
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service. It loads only after you consent, and we do not send your resume, cover-letter, or other account content to Google. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time.
When you subscribe, Stripe, our payment provider, may set cookies on its own checkout and billing pages to process payments and prevent fraud. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe and its privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, clear site data for this site, or use private/incognito mode. You can also use the footer Manage preferences control or the cookie settings on this page to change your choices.
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by applicable law, including for requests to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Older "Do Not Track" signals are not treated as a universal opt-out because there is no common industry standard.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. The "last updated" date shows when it was revised.
